Werkgroep Schilderijen + Duurzaamheid! This November, Gwendoline Fife will lead a workshop on Solvents and Paint Films: Sustainable Perspectives in Practice.

The lectures and workshop will focus on the fundamental properties and uses of solvents in conservation, with a particular emphasis on paintings. The solvents discussed will predominantly comprise those organic solvents most commonly used in the field and in accordance with the approaches of careful conservation practice, while also introducing some other solvent systems.

The aim of the workshop is to support students and practitioners in their practical applications of solvents, ensuring safer solvent use for art, us, and the world.

The theoretical lectures will be open to everyone, whether you're an RN member or not.

The practical workshop will take place at CCNL and will be reserved for Restauratoren Nederland (RN) members.
